“Moon Glow”-  Barbara Harms, an original quilt

A silk painted art quilt. This was based on an unusual moon shining through the stark limbs of a tree creating a luminous glow.

Red Egret

5et at Water’s Edge, Late Afternoon light

Appeared in Art Quilting Studio magazine. This contemporary art quilt was first silk painted, laying down blocks of background color in beautiful aqua blue and marine greens. The water has the shimmering reflections and glimmer that are created when the late afternoon light is reflected off the water.

Cybdy'sunflowers

“Sunflowers For Cyndy” -Barbara Harms

Barbara Harms Sunflowers or Cyndy

A silk painted art quilt. Remember your childhood? Scampering under the tall sunflowers in a field, with the warmth of the sun’s rays filtering down through the flowers? To recreate the impression of light as it penetrates each flower petal, I hand painted each individual silk petal. Then each one was then appliqued onto the sunlit background..
